How To Use & Setup

How to Use & Setup Your Transforma Ladder Accessories

Get the most out of your Transforma Ladder with the right accessory setup. This guide covers the correct use of the Leg Leveller, Extendable Plank, Work Platform, and Wall Standoff, with simple instructions and key safety points.

Leg Leveller

A Leg Leveller gives you confidence when working on uneven ground. Instead of struggling to balance your ladder, it lets you easily adjust one side so the ladder stays stable and secure.
Perfect for outdoor use, sloped surfaces, and areas where standard ladders feel unsafe.

Setup Steps

  • Attach the Leg Leveller to the ladder leg that needs propping up.
  • Slide the adjustable leg into the I-beam and tighten the clamp.
  • Position the I-beam bracket on the ladder leg with the adjustable leg facing the outside of the ladder.
  • Insert the second wing bolt and tighten until the leveller grips firmly.
  • Adjust the leveller length until the foot sits flat on the floor.
  • Tighten securely before use.
  • Check that the ladder is vertical and the rungs are parallel to the ground.

If the foot angle is opposite to the ladder foot angle, the leveller may need to be turned 180 degrees. This is shown in the instruction sheet diagrams.

Safety Note

Always read and understand the instructions before use. The leg leveller must be set correctly before climbing.

Extendable Plank

xtendable Plank An Extendable Plank transforms your ladder into a wider, more comfortable working platform. Instead of constantly climbing up and down, you can move freely across a stable surface.
Ideal for painting, maintenance, and jobs where you need more space to work efficiently.

Setup Steps

  • Set up both trestles on firm, level ground.
  • Lock them fully into the open position.
  • Place the plank on matching rung levels on both trestles.
  • Adjust the plank so it extends about 15cm beyond the outer rung on each side.
  • Before climbing, confirm both trestles are stable and the plank is not on the top rungs.

The plank should rest on the same rung level on both trestles to maintain a level working surface, and the 15cm overhang on both sides is required for stability.

Safety Note

Maximum load capacity is 114kg including user and materials. Never place the extendable plank on the top rungs.

Work Platform

Work Platform A Work Platform gives you a solid, stable standing area right on your ladder. It provides a more secure and controlled working position while you’re at height.
It can also double as a handy shelf for tools, so everything you need is within reach.

Setup Steps

  • Check the bracket tension before first use.
  • Adjust the bolts until the brackets move stiffly but can still be adjusted by hand.
  • Place the platform on the desired rung.
  • Make sure it is not higher than the 3rd rung from the top when standing on it.
  • Slide the platform forward to create clearance.
  • Climb to the rung above it.
  • Slide the platform back toward you with the front of your foot until it rests securely against the rung.
  • Test with light pressure before standing on it fully.

To dismount, step onto the rung above the platform, push the platform forward with your foot to unlock it, then step back down past the platform.

Safety Note

Inspect before use, ensure nuts and bolts are tight, never use if wet or slippery, and do not place loose tools on the standing surface while standing on it.

Utility Shelf Mode

The Work Platform can also be used as a utility shelf for holding tools or paint cans. In this setup, it can be placed on the outer section of the ladder as shown in the instruction sheet.

Wall Standoff

Wall Standoff A Wall Standoff creates safe spacing between your ladder and the wall, giving you better positioning and improved stability while working.
Great for gutters, roof access, and jobs where direct ladder contact isn’t ideal.

Setup Steps

  • Only use the Wall Standoff against a vertical wall.
  • Make sure both standoff feet are pressed flush against the wall.
  • Do not rest or overhang the standoff on any ledge, roof edge, or surface.
  • Only use it in the correct orientation shown in the instruction guide.

The guide visually shows approved setups with green ticks and unsafe setups with red crosses.

Safety Note

Misuse could cause serious injury. Follow all warnings and cautions shown on the Wall Standoff guide.
